Workshop on integrated tax collection system held for MCC Revenue staff

Mysore/Mysuru: In a new initiative aimed at bringing Property Tax, Water Tax and Trade Licence fee under one tax network through an App, the MCC held a one-day workshop for all its Revenue Officers and other staff from all the nine Zones at a Private Hotel near Hinkal on Hunsur road today.

Revenue staff were educated on bringing all types of taxes under ‘Bharat Bill Pay’ App, introduced by the Government of India. Bringing all types of taxes under this network, will help the MCC in achieving its tax collection target much easier, faster and better. This integration of taxes under this App, apart from being tax-payer friendly, will enable the MCC Revenue officials to have a better understanding on integrated tax collection net which includes tax fixation under various heads, recovery of pending bills, issuance of notices, ways and methods for recovery of tax and other dues, e-Property software and its applications, ‘Aasthi Kanaja’ software.

Mayor Shivakumar inaugurated the workshop. Deputy Mayor Dr. G. Roopa, MCC Commissioner G. Lakshmikantha Reddy, Deputy Commissioner (Revenue) Dr. M. Dasegowda, Resource Person Neelochana Prabhu of KMDS, Bengaluru  and  Revenue Officers and staff from all the nine MCC Zonal Offices were present.
