Workshop on NEP tomorrow

Mysore/Mysuru: A day-long workshop focusing on the benefits and shortcomings of the National Education Policy-2020 (NEP) will be held under the aegis of Forum of Former Vice-Chancellors of Karnataka State Universities at Vijnana Bhavan in Manasagangothri campus at 11 am tomorrow (Oct.15).

Announcing this at a press meet here on Thursday, the Forum’s Executive Committee member Dr. N.S. Ramegowda said that the first year Degree course has been completed after the NEP-2020 was introduced in the State and the second year is underway. But still, Degree Colleges, Universities and the Department of Collegiate education are grappling  with confusions.

The Committee has been working on finding solutions in a bid to end the confusions for the past two months and the workshop will discuss the solutions, Dr. Ramegowda said.

A report will be prepared at the end of the workshop which will be forwarded to the Chief Minister and the Higher Education Department authorities, he added.

Forum President Prof. K.S. Rangappa and  Prof. Srikantaswamy were present at the press meet.
