STHREE: The Blue Print to Success

Mysuru:  The Blue Print to Success, a two-day workshop was conducted on June 13 and 14 at the National Institute of Engineering (NIE) under TEQIP III sponsorship by Computer Science Division.

Dr. Ratna Nanjundappa of Pittsburgh, USA, who inaugurated the workshop, highlighted on empowering women — a quest for gender equity in 21st century.

Dr. Mamatha Rajesh, the other resource person, interacted on well-being of women.

Krishnaveni Sridhar, Yoga and Reiki practitioner, Chennai, gave a demonstration on simple yoga techniques which can be adopted in daily life.

Day two of the workshop was handled by Dr. Kalapriya Kannan from IBM Research, Bengaluru, who conducted activities and spoke on women and workplace.  Vidushi Rekha Ravishankar took the participants through music therapy aptly titled Music, Mood and Melody.

Punya Nanjappa, Karnataka’s first trainee pilot of IAF, was felicitated on the occasion. An alumnus of NIE 2018 batch, she traced her dream of entering the IAF and inspired the audience.

Dr. D. Mamta, HoD of Mathematics, presided. Prof. C.K. Vanamala and Prof. B.S. Jayashri of CS Division, convened the programme.

K.R. Sumana, Assistant Professor, MCA, proposed a vote of thanks. Dharithri anchored the inaugural programme.
