Mysuru: The two-day workshop on ‘Preparation for UPSC exam,’ organised by the Department of Public Administration, University of Mysore (UoM), at Humanities Block in Manasagangothri here concludes today.
Inaugurating the programme yesterday, DC D. Randeep asked the students to select the right subject and field before facing the competitive exam. He opined that a dedicated study for two years would suffice to get through the exam. He contended that facing the exam while in a job was a bit tough proposition as needed time cannot be devoted for preparation.
Continuing, Randeep said that the preliminary exam should also be viewed seriously like the main examination. He advised students to shun inferiority complex and interact with achievers to develop confidence. Hundreds of students participated in the workshop. UoM Registrar D. Bharathi, HoD of Public Administration Prof. Dayanand Mane and others were present.
