Mysuru: The Department of Speech – Language Sciences, All India Institute of Speech and Hearing (AIISH), Mysuru, is organising a three-day National workshop on “Professional Voice: Assessment and Management” from Oct.11 to 13.
Dr. S. Radhamani, Dean and Director, Mysuru Medical College and Research Institute, will inaugurate the workshop at 9.45 am in the Seminar Hall, Academic Block, AIISH. Dr.Asha Yathiraj, Director, AIISH, will preside.
Around 100 participants from various parts of India will be attending the workshop which will impart theoretical and practical training on various methods of voice assessment and therapeutic management. The deliberations include theoretical input on the acoustical, aerodynamics, Vocal fold physiology, resonance and auditory – perceptual analysis of voice along with hands on training in using these methods in different professional voice users including singers, mimicry and theatre artistes, school teachers and call centre workers.
