Mysuru: March 15 is celebrated all over the world as Consumer Day. For Mysore Grahakara Parishat (MGP), it is a special day.
It was on that day in 1989, MGP was inaugurated and since then it has been serving Mysureans to solve consumer problems. One such major area is food adulteration. Despite efforts by MGP over the years, food adulteration is still rampant.
To educate Mysureans on the harmful effects of food adulteration and also to show how through simple methods, adulteration can be demonstrated, MGP is organising an event at Chikka Gadiyara (Small Clock Tower) near Devaraja Market from 10 am to 5 pm tomorrow.
Students from St. Philomena’s will be doing the demonstration. Mymul and Weights and Measures will be participating in this event.
