World Environment Day contests for school students on June 1

Mysore/Mysuru: As part of World Environment Day celebrations, Karnataka State Pollution Control Board (KSPCB), Mysuru District Administration and Madilu Educational and Rural Development Society will be organising various competitions for school children at Kalamandira on June 1.

Painting competition on topics ‘Land Restoration’, ‘Desertification’ and ‘Drought Resilience’ for school children from Std.1 to Std. 10 will be held from 10 pm to 1 pm; Essay competition or environment-friendly group song competition for students of Std. 8 to Std.10. The organisers will provide drawing sheets and paper for drawing and essay competitions. Only 10 students from each school will be allowed to participate for the drawing competition in each theme while four students from each school can take part in essay writing competition and two groups from each school in group song competition.
