Mysuru: The Centre for Geoinformatics Technology, Department of Studies in Geography, University of Mysore, is celebrating “World GIS Day – 2017” on Nov. 27 at 11.30 am at the Seminar Hall of the Department in Manasagangothri.
GIS Day provides an international forum for users of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) technology to demonstrate real-world applications that are making a difference in our society. GIS Day is not just an event, it’s a global movement. It brings universities, government agencies, schools, non-profit organisations and GIS professionals together to build knowledge of GIS in their communities and create understanding about the world we live in.
