Mysore/Mysuru: Prajapita Brahma Kumaris Ishwariya Vishwa Vidyalaya, Mysuru, will celebrate ‘World Meditation Day’ at the Open Air Theatre in Manasagangothri campus from 6 am to 8.30 am on Sunday (Dec. 21). The entry is free.
Announcing this at a press meet at ‘Gyan Prakash Bhavan’ near Akashvani Circle in Yadavagiri yesterday, Prajapita Brahma Kumari’s B.K. Ranganath said that the Brahma Kumaris is organising this event in association with AYUSH Department and Yoga organisations of the city from 6 am onwards.
Pointing out that the World Meditation Day will facilitate the people of Mysuru to understand the techniques of meditation and also to experience it, Ranganath called upon the citizens to take part in large numbers and get benefited from this opportunity on practising meditation, which helps in the maintenance of both physical and mental health.
Ranganath further said that thousands of students and members of the public are expected to take part in this mega event on meditation.
Brahma Kumari Lakshmiji, who also addressed the press meet, said that the event will feature yoga dance, mass singing, lectures on the benefits of meditation, practical experience on meditation and a video presentation on meditation, followed by stage programme.
MLA T.S. Srivatsa, University of Mysore Registrar M.K. Savitha, Government College of Naturopathy and Yogic Sciences Principal Dr. Venkatakrishna and Ayurveda Research Centre, Mysuru, Assistant Director Dr. Lakshminarayan Shenoy will be the chief guests on the occasion.
