Mysuru: The World Music Day is coinciding with International Day of Yoga (IDY) tomorrow (June 21) and as part of both, Karnataka State Dr. Gangubai Hangal Music and Performing Arts University is organising the celebrations.
The IDY will be celebrated between 7.30 am and 8.30 am at its premises on JLB Road. In the afternoon as part of World Music Day, a walk ‘Vishwa Shantigagi Sangeetha, Nadayatra’ will begin at 3.30 pm and the participants will sing songs and walk up to Sri Nadabrahma Sangeetha Sabha where Hindustani vocalist Pt. Indudhar Nirody will be the chief guest.
Karnatak vocalist Amrutha Venkatesh will perform at 6.30 pm.
