Mysore/Mysuru: The Indian Pharmaceutical Association (IPA), Mysuru Local Branch, in association with JSS College of Pharmacy, Mysuru, is celebrating World Pharmacists Day-2023 with the theme ‘Pharmacy strengthening health systems’ on Sept. 22 at 10 am at Sri Rajendra auditorium, JSS College of Pharmacy, Sri Shivarathreeshwara Nagar, Mysuru.
The function will be inaugurated by Dinesh Gundu Rao, Minister of Health and Family Welfare. Harish K. Jain, President, Karnataka Drugs and Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Association (KDPMA) & Director, Embiotic Laboratories, Bengaluru, will be the chief guest. Dr. C.G. Betsurmath, Executive Secretary, JSS Mahavidyapeetha, Mysuru, will preside. Dr. B. Manjunatha, Registrar, JSS Academy of Higher Education & Research and Dr. T.M. Pramod Kumar, Principal, JSS College of Pharmacy & President, IPA, Mysuru Branch, will be the guests of honour.
As part of Golden Jubilee celebrations and World Pharmacists Day, three Alumni of JSS College of Pharmacy will be felicitated — Dr. Krishnamurthy Bhat, Professor & Vice-Principal, Manipal College of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Manipal, Dr. M.S. Lokesh Prasad, Scientific Officer & Government Analyst for Karnataka, Head Hi Tech Laboratory, Drugs Control Department, Bengaluru and Subrahmanya Kumar Kuntikanamata, Director, Aras Marketing Ltd., Hampshire, UK.
Also, prizes will be distributed to the winners of various literary events conducted on the eve of World Pharmacists Day.
The faculty members and students of Pharmacy Colleges and members from different Associations will be present during the function. Dr. R.S. Chandan, Secretary, IPA, Mysuru Branch, will also be present.
