Mysore/Mysuru: Veteran writer and Akhila Bharata Sharana Sahitya Parishat Hon. Advisor Dr. Go.Ru. Channabasappa (Go.Ru.Cha.) said that Saint Gurumalleshwara was one of the renowned Saints of the State who dedicated his entire life for global welfare.
He was speaking after releasing writer S. Basavaraj Doddatti’s book ‘Mahadasohi Sri Gurumalleshwararu’ at a programme organised by Chamarajanagar-based Doddatti Prakashana at Sri Shivarathri Rajendra Bhavan in JSS Hospital premises here on Sunday. Pointing out that writer Basavaraj has scripted this 700-page mega book on Saint Gurumalleshwara in order to spread awareness on the great Saint’s life, principles and ideologies, Dr. Channabasappa said that the book also has many pages on Vachana Sahitya.
Observing that life is like an empty white paper yet contains messages to the world, he said that ‘Shoonya Bhashe’ too can be found in one of those messages. Maintaining that the ‘Shoonya Bhashe’ cannot be read only by being literate, the veteran scholar said that a serious thought was needed in the heart to understand it. Only those who think deeply can understand this language, he said and added that the language appears to be only a white paper to all others who cannot understand it.
Stating that Saint Gurumallesh went out with an empty bag for the cause of global welfare, he said that the writer has scripted this book to make the current generation know about the great Saint-Philosopher. The book, which has 10 chapters, has documented many interesting facts and facets concerning the great Saint, he added.
Nataraja Educational Institutions Special Officer Dr. S. Shivarajappa said that the life of Saint Gurumalleshwara was like a jaggery cube (Bellada Achhu). One can have increasing contentment in life as he/ she goes on to savour it, he added.

Akhila Bharata Sharana Sahitya Parishat President Prof. Maleyur Guruswamy, District Sharana Sahitya Parishat President Siddappa, Kannada Sahitya Kalakoota President M.
