Sir,
In an interaction programme titled ‘Vision for Mysore,’ arranged by several service organisations, the BJP candidate for Mysuru-Kodagu Lok Sabha Constituency, Yaduveer Krishnadatta Chama-raja Wadiyar, has touched the whole gamut of issues with great sagacity (Political platform crucial for public service: Yaduveer in SOM dated Apr. 5).
His observations on environ-ment, cricket, connecting Mysuru to major cities, employment of youths, referring to heritage buildings, real estate etc., were very topical issues that touch the welfare of citizens.
His articulation of ideas on all these issues shows that he has done a deep study of the same.
He spoke about behavioural changes necessary for clean-liness. This is also a very crucial issue because this cannot be achieved by the government alone but also by a change in the mindset of people to have a sense of pride in keeping their city clean and hygienic.
The very fact that Yaduveer is going about canvassing in a measured way, not trying to indulge in political rhetoric or trying to score political brownie points, shows his maturity.
Let us all wish him good luck for he is brimming with ideas that will perhaps do a lot of good to this royal and cultural city.
