Mysuru: As the International Day of Yoga will be celebrated at the Mysore Race Course tomorrow with nearly a lakh of yoga enthusiasts expected to gather at the venue to perform yoga, City Police have banned/ diverted traffic on some roads towards Race Course from 5 am to 10 am on June 21.
Banned
Movement of all vehicles (except vehicles of participants) has been banned on Nanjangud Road from JSS College junction via Truck Terminal Road up to Race Course Circle. From Kurubarahalli Circle till Race Course Circle and from the Under Bridge on M.G. Road till Race Course Circle.
Diversion
Those travelling from JSS College Junction towards Truck Terminal on Nanjangud Road must continue on the same road. Vehicles coming from Lalitha Mahal Road side must take a right turn near Kurubarahalli Circle and proceed on Vayu Vihar Road to reach M.G. Road and proceed further.
Vehicles plying on Mirza Road towards Mysuru Zoo should move via Nazarbad Circle and proceed further.
Meanwhile, KSRTC buses towards T. Narasipur should proceed via Hardinge Circle, Mirza Road, Vasanth Mahal Junction, Nazarbad, Vayu Vihar Road and reach Lalitha Mahal Road and proceed further.
Parking facility
Those entering the venue (Race Course) near Rana Pratap Simha Circle and from North Gate must park their vehicles at Karanji Lake premises and ATI premises on Lalitha Mahal Road and vacant space on Lokranjan Mahal Road.
Those coming from Truck Terminal side and Golf Club Gate must park their vehicles at Dasara Exhibition Grounds, Mall of Mysore parking lot and football ground opposite Doddakere Maidan.
Those entering from West Gate must park their vehicles on Nanjangud Road footpath, JSS College premises and foot of Chamundi Hill.
Those coming from South Gate, must park their vehicles at the vacant space inside the Gate and CAR Grounds, according to a press release from Traffic Division ACP G.N. Mohan.
