Mysore/Mysuru: Continuing his week-long ‘Yogakshema Yatra’ for the fifth day on Friday, KR MLA S.A. Ramdas took out a ‘padayatra’ in MCC Wards 57, 59 and 64, coming under his Assembly segment.
Ramdas, who began the day by offering puja at Ganapati temple in Vivekanandanagar, listened to the grievances of the people in the three MCC Wards and directed the officials to clear overgrown bushes, weeds and plants and old trees along 4th main road of Srirampura.
The MLA assured Srirampura third stage residents of addressing drinking water issues of the locality. Continuing his Yatra, Ramdas instructed the officials to prepare a list of labourers living in Sharadadevinagar in order to get them ID cards of the Labour Department and also to provide them Ayushman Bharat-Aarogya Karnataka Health Card. After offering prayers at Shiva temple in Srirampura second stage, Ramdas inaugurated a pure drinking water facility at Aravindnagar.
Later addressing a gathering at Janani Janmabhoomi Community Hall, he explained the measures taken to stop the spread of the deadly COVID-19 contagion in the constituency.
Highlighting the objective behind his Yatra, the MLA asked construction workers to come forward for getting ID Card and Health Card. Plans are also being worked out for providing employment for the jobless, he added.
KR BJP leaders M. Vadivelu, Girish, Nagarathna, Noor Fatima, former Corporator Jagadish and Mallikarjun leaders were present.
