Mysuru: With the three-day State-level 25th National Children’s Science Congress scheduled to be inaugurated by the CM tomorrow in city, the Senate Bhavan at Manasagangothri is being spruced up for the event today.
Workers were seen cleaning the place and arranging flower and ornamental plant pots at the venue.
Thirty children from Kalaburagi including the District and Academic Co-ordinators arrived this morning with 300 children from Bagalkot and Gadag expected to arrive this evening besides 25 to 30 children from each district.
Accommodation
Children and their teachers are being provided accommodation at Maharani’s Commerce Women’s Hostel at Paduvarahalli, which can accommodate about 2,000 participants.
The hostel has 10 separate bathrooms and toilets and also 20 rooms with attached toilets.
Food
Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be served at the first floor in Senate Bhavan for which separate counters (total six counters) for boys and girls will be opened. It will be a buffet system.
Five rooms in the first floor of Vijnana Bhavan in Karnataka State Open University (KSOU) campus has been taken for the Science Exhibition while six rooms (six students and a team leader in one room) in the second floor will host technical sessions by the children.
The students are required to give a presentation on the given topics for eight minutes and two minutes will be for evaluation by three judges.
