Mysuru, July 24 – Young Indians (Yi), an integral part of Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), has always been contributing to the development of the nation. With a team of 70 strong members, Young Indians, Mysuru is focused towards activities beneficial for nation-building and societal development.
Yi, Mysuru chapter along with Humane Touch and Mysuru City Corporation (MCC), launched a new initiative of Beat Plastic at Devaraja Market recently to educate citizens and vendors to avoid plastic bag and make use of cloth bag.
This initiative was launched by MLA L. Nagendra along with MCC Commissioner K.H. Jagadeesha, Health Officer Nagaraj and others. Speaking on the occasion, Nagendra requested everyone to carry their own cloth bag and join hands to get a Clean City tag.
D. Ravi Shankar, Chair, Yi Mysuru Chapter, Ghanashyam Murali, Co-chair, Roshan and Raghavendra along with other Yi members and Vikram Jain, Gautam Jain, Nepal and Pancham Jain along with Humane Touch members took part in the campaign.
