Mysore/Mysuru: A 28-year-old youth has been allegedly stabbed to death near the scrap yard (gujari) at Lashkar Mohalla in city last night.
The deceased youth is Sadhakath, a resident of Shanthinagar, who used to stitch rexine covers for autorickshaws for a living. Sadhakath’s friend Haneef too has been reportedly stabbed but is out of danger.
It is learnt that Sadhakath, after finishing his work went home and at about 10 pm, he received continuous calls on his phone from the alleged killers, who asked him to come out for a talk.
As Sadhakath did not go, the killers caught hold of his friend Haneef and asked him to bring Sadhakath out. When Haneef and Sadhakath came near the scrap yard, three persons attacked them and stabbed Sadhakath. Haneef too was stabbed and the killers fled from the spot soon after committing the crime.
The seriously injured Sadhakath was rushed to K.R. Hospital, where he succumbed to injuries and Haneef was treated for the injuries.
Lashkar Inspector P.P. Santosh and staff, who rushed to the spot, conducted mahazar, shifted the body to MMC&RI mortuary besides registering a case.
Lashkar Police are questioning Haneef. A Police team has been formed to nab the killers.
