Mysuru: A youth and an auto driver were killed in separate road accidents in city recently.
In the first case, a 19-year-old youth was killed, while two of his friends sustained injuries when a speeding Hero Honda Splendor Plus bike (KA-09-EY-8722) rammed into them on KRS Road here.
The deceased youth is Hemanth Kumar, son of Basavaraju of Kumarabeedu village in the taluk. Hemanth, along with his friends, had come to Tanveer Sait Nagar to take part in a cricket tournament on Nov. 3.
They were standing by the roadside to go back to their village in the evening when the speeding bike rammed into them. Hemanth, who sustained serious injuries succumbed on the spot, while his two friends sustained injuries.
A case has been registered at Mysuru South Police Station.
In the second case, Ravikumar (50), an auto driver, was killed on the spot, when a speeding tipper lorry rammed into his three-wheeler on KRS Road on Nov. 2. The deceased auto driver is a resident of Yelwal in city.
On Nov. 2 at about 11.30 pm, Ravikumar was driving his auto (KA-09-D-3109) near Brahmanandasagar Road on KRS Road, when the rashly driven tipper vehicle (KA-45-8057), which came from the opposite direction rammed into the auto killing Ravikumar on the spot. The auto was severely mangled in the accident.
Yelwal Police have registered a case in this regard.
