Youth held for snatching mobile phones, lifting two-wheelers

Mysuru:  Devaraja Police have arrested a 23-year-old youth on charges of snatching mobile phones from public and lifting two-wheelers. The Police have recovered mobile phones and stolen two-wheelers from him.

The accused is Syed Wasim, a resident of Usmania Block at Ghousianagar in city. During interrogation, the accused is said to have confessed of lifting two vehicles in Devaraja Police limits and also snatching mobile phones from public.

Based on the information provided by the accused, the Police have recovered four mobile phones and three two-wheelers, all worth Rs. 1.30 lakh, from him.

DCP M.S. Geetha Prasanna and Devaraja Sub-Division ACP Mariyappa supervised Devaraja Inspector Divakar, Sub-Inspector Leelavathi, ASI Udaykumar and staff Somashetty, Venugopal, Suresh, Nandeesh, Pradeep and Veeresh Bagewadi in the nabbing and recovery operation.
