Mysuru: Vijayanagar Police have cracked the murder of one Jayaramu, who was murdered on Saturday night, by arresting three persons within hours of the crime.
The arrested persons have been identified as 27-year-old Anil of Hootagalli, 25-year-old Mahesh of Koorgalli and 20-year-old Satish of Vidyaranyapuram.
The three accused had murdered Jayaramu, who was working in a Service Station in Vijayanagar 4th Stage and had fled.
Victim Jayaramu and prime accused Anil were friends and were working in the same Service Station. It is learnt that Jayaramu, who had given a loan of Rs. 20,000 to Anil, was pestering him to return the money.
In the meantime, Rs. 17,000 belonging to the cashier of the Service Station was stolen and Jayaramu began to tell others that Anil had stolen the money, which irked him (Anil). He then hatched a plan to eliminate Jayaramu.
On Saturday evening, when Jayaramu was standing near a shop in Vijayanagar 4th Stage, Anil, who came along with his friend Satish on a scooter, spoke to Jayaramu and told him that they would drop him to his place, following which, he went with them.
When they reached a deserted place on the way to Belavadi, Anil stopped the scooter in the pretext of attending nature’s call, where they were joined by Mahesh, another friend of Anil. Later, the three accused allegedly stabbed Jayaramu to death and fled from the scene.
The Police, who picked up two accused from Vidyaranyapuram and Saraswathipuram yesterday morning, produced them before a Magistrate who remanded them to judicial custody.
