Mysore/Mysuru: In a shocking incident, a 27-year-old youth was allegedly murdered by his relatives after a drunken brawl over the ownership of a revenue site in Alanahalli Police limits late last night.
Kiran Kumar (27), son of Basavaraj and a resident of Alanahalli, is the deceased.
Kiran Kumar, who ran a security agency, went to a Bar and Restaurant in Alanahalli Layout along with his cousins by name Pramod , Mahesh and Rakesh at about 9 pm yesterday. As the four were discussing the civil dispute over the ownership of a revenue site, a heated argument broke out, following which Pramod, with help from Mahesh and Rakesh, is said to have stabbed Kiran Kumar on his chest and abdomen with a knife. A profusely bleeding Kiran Kumar was rushed to JSS Hospital, where he breathed his last sometime later, it is learnt.
Alanahalli Police, who swung into action, took Mahesh and Rakesh into custody. The main accused Pramod went absconding soon after committing the crime. Police have launched a hunt to nab him, it is learnt. Alanahalli Police have registered a case and are investigating.
