Mysuru: Devaraja Police, have arrested a youth on charges of stealing Rs. 75,000 cash from a shop selling watches by diverting the attention of the owner.
The arrested youth has been identified as 25-year-old Syed Junej, a resident of Kalyangiri and the cops have recovered Rs. 30,000 from him. The accused on July 3, had gone to Asian Times, a shop at Boti Bazar in Devaraja Mohalla and had stolen Rs. 75,000 cash and had fled from the spot. A complaint was registered at Devaraja Police Station by the shop owner Asif in this regard.
Devaraja Police, who took up the investigation, arrested Syed and produced him before a Magistrate, who has remanded him to judicial custody.
