Mysore/Mysuru: Three youths, who were angry after being denied liquor for a torn currency note at a bar, created ruckus and also threatened the staff with murder at B.M. Shree Nagar on Friday night.
In a complaint filed by bar owner Manjunath, the three youths Kunda, Raatu and Amul came to the bar on Feb. 7 at about 10.15 pm and produced a torn note for liquor.
When the cashier refused to accept the torn note, they gave another note to Manjunath and got the liquor.
After some time, cleaner Ranganath told the youths that it was closing hour and they had to wind up their drinking.
This angered the trio and they tried to assault Ranganath. Manjunath, Stalin, Manu and Mahadevaswamy, who tried to intervene, were threatened by the trio.
The youths later picked up beer bottles and threw them at the staff, creating tense moments. The staff somehow managed to send the youths out of the bar and closed the shutter. But the youths then pelted stones on the shutter and threatened the staff of murder.
The youths, however fled after seeing the Police arriving at the bar.
Metagalli Police have launched a hunt to nab the absconding trio.
