Decamp with Rs. 51,000 cash, ATM cards and bike
Mysore/Mysuru: Four youths, in the guise of getting a lost gold chain, have robbed a man of Rs. 51,000 cash, two ATM cards and a bike on Feb. 1 midnight.
The victim is 30-year-old Vivek Sridhar, a resident of SBI Colony in Bogadi here. Sridhar, who had lost his gold chain, was searching for it near the Rural Bus Stand on Feb. 1 midnight.
Four youths, in the age group of 20-25 years, who were observing Sridhar, approached him and told him that a gold chain was found by a transgender and asked him to come with them so that they would get him the gold chain.
Believing them, Sridhar took one of them on his bike while the rest followed them on their scooter. The youths, who took Sridhar to a deserted place on KRS Road, threatened him and took him to an ATM kiosk, where they forcibly made him to withdraw Rs. 51,100 cash. They later took away the cash, two ATM cards and his bike and fled from the spot.
Sridhar, who somehow reached Metagalli Police Station, has lodged a complaint. The Cops, who have registered a case, have launched a hunt to nab the accused youths.
