Mysore/Mysuru: Mysuru Yuva Balaga distributed food, sanitisers, face masks and water bottles to those who have taken refuge at Sri Nanjaraj Bahadur Choultry in city.
MUDA Chairman H.V. Rajeev launched this programme by distributing it to the needy people. Speaking on the occasion, he said COVID-19 pandemic has devastated several families and causing problems for lakhs of people.
To control the contagion, the Government had no option except to clamp a total lockdown. It was true that lockdown was causing hardship to the common people but it was required in the interest of people’s health. Need of the hour was to join hands together to fight against the pandemic, he noted.
He called upon officials to deal courteously with those who have taken the shelter temporarily and promised to be with them till lockdown ends.
