‘Yuva Sangeeta Sambhrama-2022’: Online vocal concert on Jan. 1

Mysore/Mysuru: Sri Thyagaraja Sangeetha Sabha Charitable Trust, Mysuru, will be presenting the second edition of ‘Yuva Sangeeta Sambhrama-2022’ aimed at showcasing young musical talents of Karnataka.

The current series will take off with a vocal concert by Vidu. Pavani Prabhakar from Sringeri. The online concert will be premiered on Saturday (Jan.1) at 5 pm on their YouTube channel.   

Pavani Prabhakar had her initial training in classical music from her mother Vidu. Savithri Prabhakar and later from Vidushis Jayalakshmi and Rajarajeshwari Bhat. Presently she is under the tutelage of Vid. Bellary M. Raghavendra and Vidu. Amrutha Murali.

Vid. Krithik Koushik, disciple of Vid. H.K. Narasimhamurthy and Vid. Dr. S. Nagasimha, disciple of Vid. R. Ramesh and Vid. Palladam R. Ravi, will accompany Pavani on violin and mridanga, respectively.
