Zebra crossing near AIISH needs new coat of paint

Sir,

The vehicle inflow at AIISH junction on Bogadi Road is getting denser and there is a need for more discipline by the vehicle-users.

Even though there is a divider on the SJCE Road, due to fading away of the zebra crossing, motorists coming from SJCE Road do not stop at the divider and keep moving much ahead and stop.

KSRTC buses taking left have no room to turn left from Bogadi Road towards SJCE  side. This leads to blocking of vehicles that are behind; it is also a serious safety issue for the vehicle-users on SJCE Road as the bus has to almost brush past the two-wheeler riders, who are ever eager to be first in the queue at the signals blocking the easy manoeuvring of the bigger vehicles turning left.

Regrettably, the hapless Home Guards are not of much help as they have resigned to their fate of being mute spectators. It is a pity to mention that differently-abled children walking around there are more disciplined than the able bodied.

I request the authorities concerned to ensure the zebra crossing is clearly marked and discipline restored near this important and busy junction.
