Mysuru: Sri Chamarajendra Zoological Gardens (Mysuru Zoo) had organised photography competition on Sept.27.
In all, 62 photographers participated in the competition with a total of 177 photographs for both Zoo category (66 entries) and Wildlife category (111 entries). These images were selected by the three-member expert panel comprising M.N. Jayakumar IFS, Additional Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (Rtd.), Bengaluru, R.G. Srikantha and Anantha Murthy, Wildlife Photographers, who assisted the Zoo in selecting the following winners:
Wildlife Category: Dr. Pramod Govind Shanbhog – I prize; S. Udaya Shankar – II; S.R. Madhusudhana – III; Darshan Ganapathy, M. Lokanath and B. Shivkumar – Certificates of Merit.
Zoo Category: Anoop R. Shankar – I and II prizes; B. Shivkumar – III; G.S. Ravishankar, M. Lokanath and G. Murulidhara – all three Certificates of Merit.
The prize-winning and selected photos would be displayed from Oct.2 to 8 in the Zoo Library between 10 am and 5 pm on the occasion of Wildlife Week celebration, according to a press release from Ajit Kulkarni, IFS, Deputy Conservator of Forests and Executive Director, Mysuru Zoo.
