ZP CEO directs for preparation of specially abled voters list

Mysuru: ZP CEO K. Jyothi has directed the officials to prepare a list of specially abled voters in the district by Feb.15.

Presiding over a meeting at the ZP Hall here recently, Jyothi said that following a direction from the Election Commission of India, preparation have to be made for providing wheelchairs and other facilities to specially abled voters.

Pointing out that there were 23,872 specially abled voters in the district for the 2018 Assembly polls, she said that measures must be taken for including all those specially abled voters who have attained the age of 18 years and those who are left out of the electoral rolls.

Women and Child Development Deputy Director K. Padma, SVEEP Committee Secretary Krishna, District Specially Abled Persons Welfare Officer Abhikumar and others were present.
