’Home for tenants in KR Assembly segment by 2022′

Mysuru:  BJP MLA S.A. Ramdas has said that homes will be built for all the tenants living in rented houses in KR Assembly segment limits, by 2022.

Addressing a press meet at Hotel President on B.N. Road on Saturday to thank the people for electing party candidate Pratap Simha from Mysuru-Kodagu LS Constituency, Ramdas said that he was working for fulfilling Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s dream of providing shelter to those who do not have own houses and live in rented houses. The houses will be built under the PM’s Awas Yojana and Ashraya Schemes before Aug.15, 2022, marking the 75th year of the country’s independence, he said.

Noting that there were 54,316 families living in rented accommodations in KR Assembly segments as per a survey, the MLA said that the construction of houses will commence in June. Online applications have been invited and the houses will be distributed to the beneficiaries while maintaining transparency in the entire process.

Stressing on the need for having a Yoga University in Mysuru, Ramdas said that he would press for Ministerial berths to Pratap Simha and Sreenivasa Prasad in the Union Cabinet.

He also said that he would give importance for getting social benefits for workers from unorganised sector.

Corporator B.V. Manjunath and others were present.
