Pedestrian killed as bike hits

Mysuru: An employee of MYMUL (Mysore Milk Union Limited) died when a two-wheeler hit him while he was walking on the road in Siddarthanagar. The unfortunate victim is Paramesh (45), a resident of Mandya.

The incident occurred on Saturday when Paramesh was walking near the Ice-Cream Parlour close to the Milk Dairy on Mahadeshwara Road. A bike rider (KA-55  R 6065) reportedly came at breakneck speed from Nazarbad side and hit Paramesh, who was walking on the side of the road. As a result, he suffered serious head injuries and bled profusely.

He was immediately rushed by the public to the nearby Gopala Gowda Shanthaveri Memorial Hospital in an unconscious condition. However, the doctors informed that he had passed away midway itself.

Siddarthanagar Traffic Police have registered a case and further investigation is on.
