11th Anniversary of Mysuru Sahitya Mathu Samskruthika Prathishtana

Mysuru:  As part of its 11th Anniversary celebrations, Mysuru Sahitya Mathu Samskruthika Prathishtana has organised various programmes on Dec.9 (Sunday) at 4 pm at Ganabharathi’s Veene Seshanna Bhavana in Kuvempunagar.

The programmes include Kannada Rajyotsava and Children’s Day celebrations, release of M.B. Santosh’s collection of poems ‘Manollasa’ and compilation of short stories ‘Jeevana Jokali’, Bharatanatyam, Western dance and Awards ceremony.

Former Minister M. Shivanna will inaugurate the programme. Rajyotsava Awardee Dr. M.G.R. Urs will be the chief guest and present the Awards. Dr. C. Thejovathi of NMP Academy will speak on ‘Manollasa’ while writer Dr. Anasuya Kempanahalli will speak on ‘Jeevana Jokali’. Prathishtana President M.B. Santosh will preside. General Secretary M.N. Jayanthi will be present.

Balashri Awardees – 2018 are: Anagha Kiran of Kautilya Vidyalaya, Majuru Achintya Puranik of Amrita Vidyalaya, H.R. Theeksha Baruni of Vidyavardhaka Sangha, Manasvi of St. Joseph’s Central School, L. Sahana of Maharshi Public School, S. Bhuvan Kumar of St. Thomas School, R. Mayank of S.V.E.I. Public School, J. Kushi of JSS Public School and P. Abhaykrishna of Kautilya Vidyalaya.

Yuvashri Awardees – 2018: M. Pradyumna Atreya of Sadvidya Semi-Residential PU College, N. Keerthi of Nirmala High School, M.S. Pramod Sharma of Vidyavardhaka Engineering College, Ruthvik C. Raj of Jnanodaya PU College, S. Anagha of Maharani’s Arts College and M.D. Ayush of Coorg Public School, Gonikoppa.

The other awardees are: Ballenahalli Shankar (Sahitya Sindhu Award), J. Vijayalakshmi, Prema Manjunath, G. Sudhakar and Srikant Pujari Biravu (all Sadhanashri Awardees).

The evening will conclude with Bharatanatyam recitals by Mahima, Manasvi and Keerthi (disciples of Vidu. Pankaja Ramakrishnaiah), Preetu Manjunath (disciple of Dr. Vasundara Doreswamy) and V.R. Nikitha (disciple of Vidu. Mithra Naveen) and Western dance by D. Abhay Dutta, P. Akshay Krishna, P. Abhay Krishna, Srividya and Manish Patil, according to a press release.
