12-member IAS and IFS Officers from Delhi in city

To study Best Practices in Urban Governance

Mysuru: A team of 12 IAS and IFS Officers from the Indian Institute  of Public Administration, New Delhi, are in Mysuru to study the Best Practices in Urban  Governance. 

On Nov.23, they visited the Zero Waste Management Plant at Kumbarakoppal accompanied by Dr. Jayanth, Health Officer of Mysuru City Corporation (MCC). 

Dr. K.S. Nagapathi of Federation of MCC Wards Parliament (FMCCWP) explained how the Kumbarakoppal Zero Waste Management Plant is successfully working  on community participation in Solid Waste Management (SWM) under PPP model in complete harmony with MCC.

The team appreciated the working of SWM Plant at Kumbarakoppal headed by former MLC D. Madegowda. 

Madhukar, Environmental Engineer, MCC and Satish Chandran, Joint Secretary of the Federation, accompanied the delegation which will be staying at the Administrative Training Institute (ATI) in Mysuru till  Nov. 28.
