12th National ‘A’ Chess for Visually-Challenged: Shashidhar goes down to Akhil

Mysuru-based K.M. Shashidhar, taking part in the 12th National ‘A’ Chess Championship for Visually Challenged being held at Mumbai, lost his ninth round against Delhi’s Akhil Sharma on yesterday.

After nine rounds, K.M. Shashidhar has secured 2.5 points and is placed 12th in the rankings. Karnataka’s Kishan Gangolli is in the lead with 7.5 points and is followed by K. Makwana Ashvin (Gujarat) with 6.5 points and Aryan B. Joshi (Maharashtra) with 6.5 points respectively.
