13,700 candidates appear for K-SET in city

Mysuru: About 13,700 candidates appeared for the Karnataka State Eligibility Test (K-SET) for lectureship in city conducted by the University of Mysore yesterday while around 75,000 candidates appeared for the examination conducted all over the State.

The K-SET was conducted at 11 centres in the State with no incidents of malpractice. This year, University of Mysore had ordered for the installation of CCTV cameras to ensure transparency while conducting the examination.

Apart from Mysuru, the examinations were conducted at Bengaluru, Ballari, Belagavi, Vijayapura, Davanagere, Dharwad, Kalaburagi, Mangaluru, Shivamogga and Tumakuru.

University of Mysore Acting Vice-Chancellor Prof. C. Basavaraju visited the centres in Mysuru to ensure the exams were conducted smoothly.
