The 13th Graduates Day of JSS College for Women (Autonomous), Saraswathipuram, will be held on Apr. 30 at 11 am at its Navajyothi Auditorium. Disclosing this at a press meet at Patrakartara Bhavan yesterday, Prof. Morabada Mallikarjuna, Director, College Education Division, JSS Mahavidyapeetha, said that Suttur Seer Sri Shivarathri Deshikendra Swamiji will grace the occasion. Minister of State for External Affairs and Education Dr. Rajkumar Ranjan Singh will be the chief guest. JSS Mahavidyapeetha Executive Secretary Dr. C.G. Betsurmath will preside. MP Pratap Simha and MLA L. Nagendra will be the guests of honour. College Principal Dr. K.V. Suresha and Controller of Examination M.M. Swamy will be present.
A total of 670 students will be awarded with their degree and post-graduate degree certificates out of which 348 students have passed in distinction, 281 with first class and 38 students with second class. R. Kusumitha (BA), S. Sahana (B.Sc), K.R. Aishwarya (B.Com), Meghana S. Nayak (BBA), N. Deepika (BCA), B. M. Nelamma (MA – Economics), K.A. Anusha (M.Com) and S. Mamatha (M.Sc – Chemistry) have bagged first rank in their respective courses. These toppers will receive gold medals on the occasion.
