DC shocked by official apathy

Mysuru: Hardly 15 out of 40 stalls earmarked for Zilla Panchayat and Government Departments will be ready by tomorrow for the inauguration of the Dasara Exhibition in the evening.

Deputy Commissioner D. Randeep inspected the Dasara Exhibition Ground here this morning to take stock of the readiness for the inaugural ceremony tomorrow.

He was shocked to see only 15 out of 40 stalls getting readied. He said that he would bring the matter to the notice of the Chief Minister. He further said that instructions were passed on to all the Departments to keep their stalls ready by yesterday but regretted that it was not accomplished. He said that 25 bonus points would be awarded to stalls if they could be readied by 10 am tomorrow.

Referring to a few flex boards erected at the expo ground, Randeep instructed KEA CEO N.M. Shivakumar to get them removed immediately. KEA Chairman Siddaraju and others were present.
