Mysuru: The 16 Karnataka Battalion NCC, Mysuru, conducted its first camp after expansion from June 1 to 10 at the Police Training School, Mysuru. The camp comprised the Combined Annual Training Camp (CATC) and Thal Sainik Camp-I (TSC-I) of Mysuru Group NCC.
The camp provided Cadets with valuable exposure to military life, leadership, discipline, teamwork and personality development. A total of 549 Cadets from 18 schools and 5 colleges across Mysuru city and district participated in the camp.
On June 8, a Wellness Training Programme was conducted for Cadets by Vinattaa Rao, Founder of AKAR, Transformational Coach and Empowerment Facilitator. The session focused on mental well-being, self-awareness, emotional resilience and personal empowerment. Rao introduced the Cadets to practical tools such as visualisation techniques, positive affirmations and mindfulness-based exercises.
The training session complemented NCC’s mission of holistic youth development by helping the cadets build mental strength, physical fitness and leadership capabilities.
Col. Vivek Savangouder, Commanding Officer and Col. Shivraj More, Administrative Officer of 16 Kar Bn NCC, Mysuru, were present. ANO Rekha D. Rao welcomed and proposed the vote of thanks.
Group Commander NCC Mysuru, Col. Rohit Thakur, visited the camp and appreciated the active participation of Cadets.
The programme was well-received by Cadets and served as a valuable addition to the camp’s overall objective of nurturing confident, disciplined and socially responsible young leaders.
