The 16th South-West Zonal Taekwon-Do ITF Championship-2019 has been organised at Chamundi Vihar Stadium in city on July 20 and 21 from 8 am to 5 pm under the aegis of Taekwon-Do Association of Karnataka, affiliated to Taekwon-Do Association of India, New Delhi, Asian Taekwon-Do Federation and International Taekwon-Do Federation, Vienna, Austria.

Around 1,000 participants from 10 South West States of India are expected to participate in the event. The Championship features Individual and Team Sparring Competitions, Individual and Team Pattern Competitions, Individual Power Competition, Individual Special Technique Competition and Self-Defence Competition.

Higher Education and District in-Charge Minister G.T. Devegowda will inaugurate the Championship at 10 am on July 20. Rural Development, Law and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Krishna Byre Gowda and Department of Youth Services and Sports Asst. Director K. Suresh will be present.
