1,793 property owners apply for e-Khatas

Mysuru: A total of 1,793 applications were received during the three-day special e-Khata drive organised by the Mysuru City Corporation (MCC) at its Main Office, which concluded yesterday.

As many as 638 applications were received on the final day (Nov. 7). The campaign witnessed a good response from property owners keen to obtain e-Khatas without approaching middlemen or paying bribes.

The drive was conducted Zone-wise over three days. On Nov. 5, applications were received from property owners in MCC Zones 1 to 3, with 740 applications submitted. On Nov. 6, another 415 applications were received from Zones 4 to 6, while the final day’s drive covered Zones 7 to 9.

All applicants are scheduled to receive their e-Khatas on Nov. 18. A free health check-up camp was also organised on Nov. 7, allowing applicants to undergo health screening while they waited. A separate counter was set up to assist senior citizens.
