17th AGM of Retired Police Officers Association held

Retired Head Constable Puttaiah being felicitated by City Police Commissioner Dr. A. Subrahmanyeswara Rao and other dignitaries at the 17th Annual General Body Meeting (AGM) of Retired Police Officers Association held at Police Bhavan in city this morning.

Mysuru: The 17th Annual General Body Meeting (AGM) of Retired Police Officers Association was held at Police Bhavan on Lalitha Mahal Road here this morning.

Inaugurating the programme City Police Commissioner Dr. A. Subrahmanyeswara Rao said that the job of a Police personnel was not just a duty, but a service too. He added that the entire Police force was like a very big family which needs good co-ordination. He pointed out that every Police personnel irrespective of the rank will have good ideas to contribute.

Speaking on the occasion, Association President M.C. Mariswamy sought an own building for the Association which has 1,275 members. Retired Head Constable Puttaiah, aged 96 years and a resident of Gayatripuram was felicitated on the occasion. Association Hon. President B.M. Nanaiah, Vice-President Jayaram, Chikkamadappa, Treasurer M. Raju and others were present.
