Mysuru: The Department of School Education and Literacy has released the academic calendar for 2026-27, announcing a 19-day mid-term holiday for primary and high school students during the Dasara.
According to official schedule, the vacation will begin on Oct. 3. As Oct. 2 is a public holiday for Gandhi Jayanti, students will get a continuous break from Oct. 2 to 21, including Dasara holidays and Vijayadashami.
The notification applies to all Government, aided and private schools. However, some independent private schools affiliated to CBSE and ICSE may have shorter breaks of 10 to 15 days.
