Mysuru: Marking Pandit Dean Dayal Upadhyaya’s birth centenary celebrations, the BJP Yuva Morcha will be organising a two-day Kabaddi Tournament for K.R. Constituency BJP workers on June 3 and 4 at the ground opposite Anchagavi Mutt in Gowrishankarnagar. Announcing this at a press meet at Patrakarthara Bhavan here this morning, K.R. BJP Yuva Morcha President H.S. Jaishankar said that MP Pratap Simha, who is also the State BJP Yuva Morchan President, will inaugurate the tournament at 3 pm on June 3 in the presence of former Minister S.A. Ramdas, actors Srinagara Kitty and Suraj Gowda and Arjuna awardee Kabaddi player from Karnataka B.C. Ramesh.

The tournament is aimed at promoting Desi sports, he said and added that 21 teams from 21 MCC Wards falling under K.R. Constituency will be taking part in this tournament, which concludes at 6 pm on June 4.

K.R. BJP President and Corporator B.V. Manjunath, leaders Kumara Gowda, Dharmendra Prasad, Venkatesh Das and Nishant were present during the press meet.
