Mysore/Mysuru: In another judgement, Special POCSO Court Judge Shayma Khamroz has sentenced another man to 20 years rigorous imprisonment for sexually assaulting a specially abled girl. The accused in the guise of asking water, barged into the house and sexually assaulted the specially abled.

The girl’s parents had lodged a complaint at the South Police Station. The Police, after investigating the case, had submitted a charge-sheet to the Court.

Judge Shayma Khamroz, who heard the case on Dec. 6, found the accused man guilty and sentenced him to 20 years imprisonment and ordered Rs. 1.05 lakh compensation be given to the victim. The Judge also announced that the victim was eligible for Rs. 5 lakh compensation provided by the Legal Services Authority.
