Dr. Shamala Kumari

Dr. Shamala Kumari (84), a resident of Jayalakshmipuram, passed away this morning. She leaves behind her husband Prof. B.V. Mariyappa, three sisters Dr. D.S. Kamala Kumari (wife of ex-MLC Thontadarya), Nirmala Dekhne and Vimala Kittur Mutt and a host of relatives and friends. Last rites were performed this afternoon at Muktidhama near Hootagalli here.
