Palecanda Gandhi Nachappa (62), son of late Palecanda Aiyappa and a resident of Kuvempu Layout, passed away yesterday afternoon in city. He leaves behind his wife, one daughter and a host of relatives and friends. Last rites were performed at the foot of Chamundi Hill this afternoon.

Thambanda C. Ponnappa (Mani), brother of Sunny Bopaiah and a resident of Anandanagar, near Sharadadevi Nagar, passed away yesterday afternoon in city. He was 84. He leaves behind a host of relatives and friends. Last rites were performed at Muktidhama in Vijayanagar 4th Stage this morning.
