Brig. Ajjinikanda C. Pemmaiah

Brig. Ajjinikanda C. Pemmaiah (Retd.), a resident of Swagath Apartments in Jayalakshmipuram, passed away yesterday in city. He was 89. A native of Chennangi, Pollibetta in Kodagu, he is survived by his wife Sulochana (Chendanda), children Manish and Ammatanda Bindu. Last rites were performed at Muktidhama in Vijayanagar 4th Stage here this afternoon.

Alhaj Mohammed Farooq (72), a resident of Convent Road in Lashkar Mohalla here, passed away at Aligarh in Uttar Pradesh this morning. He leaves behind his wife, three sons, two daughters and a host of relatives and friends. Burial will take place at Aligarh after the family reaches the place tonight, according to sources.
