Mysuru: Golfing Women’s Association, JWGC, Mysuru, has organised the first edition of ‘Queens on the Greens – Women’s Golf Tournament’ at JWGC in city tomorrow. City Police Commissioner Seema Latkar will inaugurate the Tournament at 11 am. Around 40 women golf players are expected to take part.

Saroja Rao (82), a resident of Vivekananda Circle, passed away this morning in city. She leaves behind son Prasad, a senior BJP activist, two daughters, sons-in-law, grand-children and a host of relatives and friends. Last rites were held at the foot of Chamundi Hill this afternoon, according to family sources.
Somanna (71), a retired employee of Karnataka Silk Industries Corporation (KSIC) and a resident of Gowrishankar Nagar, passed away on Sunday in city. He is survived by his mother, wife, two sons and a host of relatives and friends. Last rites were performed at Veerashaiva Burial Grounds in Vidyaranyapuram today, according to family sources.
