Mysore/Mysuru: On the occasion of World Dance Day, the 22nd National Nirantara Kalemane Festival is being held on Apr. 29 at Kalemane Sabhaangana in Vijayanagar 2nd Stage by Kumar Performing Arts Centre (KPAC), Mysuru, at 3.30 pm.
Performances of the evening include Bharatanatyam by disciples of Guru Dr. K. Kumar, Founder of KPAC; Thematic presentation ‘Ravana’ by Guru Dr. Sahana Bhat (Script: Pradeep Bhat, Music: Vid. Balasubramanya Sharma, Conceptualised by Dr. Sahana Bhat); Bharatanatyam by disciples of Guru Dr. Chethana Radhakrishna, Artistic Director, Gurudev Academy of Fine Arts, Mandya and Mysuru; ‘Sarvam Krishna Mayam’ by disciples of Guru Vidu. Aarathi Arun, Artistic Director, Shri Ganesha Sangeetha Nrithyalaya Charitable Trust, Mysuru and Bharatanatyam by disciples of Vid. Gururaj Vasisth, Artistic Director, Sudhindra Nritya Kalaniketana, Bengaluru.
Art supporters will be honoured with ‘Kalemane Kala Poshaka Award 2023.’ The awardees are P.M. Radhakrishna, Managing Director, Gurudev Academy of Fine Arts, Mysuru, Pradeep Bhat, Writer and President, Natyanjali Nrutya Kala Kendra, Hubballi and M.V. Suma & V. Nagendra, Secretary and Treasurer, Sudhindra Nritya Kalaniketana, Bengaluru.
Dr. B.S. Pushpalatha, Additional Director, Health and Family Welfare Department, Bengaluru, will be the chief guest.
